Our story

We got tired of renting our own records.

Fable Software was started by people who ran construction and field operations before they wrote a line of code for them. We lived the daily reality: crews in the field, service tickets stacking up, change orders flying, and a back office trying to hold it all together on a patchwork of tools that never quite talked to each other. And underneath all of it, the same quiet problem — the platforms we depended on didn't hand us our data. They rented it back to us.

The typical construction platform meters you per seat, hides its pricing behind a demo, and keeps your history behind an export gate — then walks away with it if you leave or they fold. We had watched vendors fold. We had watched export requests go unanswered. So we built Fable the other way around: your data stays portable and exportable, in your hands. Durability is ours to run. Ownership is yours to keep.

Today Fable is a small parent company with a deliberately narrow family of shipping products — SitePilot, SolarKnock, SendSignatures, and Tracker — each purpose-built for its job, all sharing one philosophy. We are not chasing a bloated all-in-one platform. We are building durable, specialist tools that reduce operational risk from the back office to the job site, and that never take your future hostage.
